Refund policy

Return & Refund Policy

Effective Date: October 15, 2026

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains when products purchased from innisfilcreekhoney.com may be returned or refunded.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable Canadian or Ontario law.

1. Standard Returns

Unless an item is marked Final Sale, eligible products may be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date for a refund.

To qualify for a standard change-of-mind return:

  • the return must be requested within 30 days of purchase;

  • the product must be unused;

  • the product must be in new and resalable condition;

  • the product must be in its original, unopened packaging where applicable;

  • all original components, accessories and documentation must be included; and

  • proof of purchase must be provided.

We reserve the right to refuse a voluntary return that does not meet these requirements, subject to applicable law.

2. Food and Honey Products

For food safety reasons, opened or used food products, including honey, may not be returned for a change-of-mind refund.

Unopened food products may be eligible for return where they meet the requirements of this policy.

This restriction does not apply to statutory rights relating to defective, unsafe, contaminated, misrepresented or otherwise non-conforming products where applicable law provides a remedy.

3. Beekeeping Equipment

Unused beekeeping equipment may be eligible for return within 30 days if it meets the standard return requirements.

Equipment that has been assembled, installed, painted, modified, used in a hive, exposed to bees, smoke, chemicals or other contaminants may not qualify for a change-of-mind return.

This does not affect statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming products.

4. Sale Items

Items purchased at a sale, promotional or discounted price are final sale unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

However, a sale-price designation does not eliminate any statutory rights or remedies that apply to defective, unsafe, misrepresented or otherwise non-conforming goods.

5. Final Sale Items

Products clearly identified as Final Sale are not eligible for voluntary return or refund for change of mind.

Final-sale status does not limit any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If you receive a product that:

  • is defective;

  • arrives damaged;

  • is materially different from its description;

  • is the wrong product;

  • is missing components; or

  • otherwise does not conform to the agreement,

please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we may provide a repair, replacement, refund or other appropriate remedy.

Please provide photographs or other information where reasonably requested so that we can investigate the issue.

7. Manufacturer Warranties

Some products may be covered by a manufacturer's warranty.

Where a manufacturer's warranty applies, the warranty may provide additional repair, replacement or other rights.

Manufacturer warranty procedures do not replace statutory consumer rights.

8. Return Authorization

Please contact us before returning an item.

Include:

  • your name;

  • order number;

  • purchase date;

  • product name;

  • reason for return; and

  • photographs where applicable.

We will provide return instructions if the item qualifies for return.

Unauthorized returns may experience processing delays.

9. Return Shipping Costs

For voluntary change-of-mind returns, the customer is generally responsible for return shipping costs.

Where a product is defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or where applicable law requires us to pay return shipping costs, we will provide appropriate instructions.

10. Original Shipping Charges

For voluntary change-of-mind returns, original shipping charges may be non-refundable.

Where a refund is required because of a defective, incorrectly supplied or otherwise non-conforming product, or where applicable law requires reimbursement of shipping charges, the applicable amount will be refunded.

11. Refunds

Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.

Refund processing begins after the returned product has been received and inspected, where inspection is reasonably required.

Your bank or payment provider may require additional time before the refund appears in your account.

12. Exchanges

We may offer exchanges for eligible products where inventory is available.

Where an exchange is unavailable, we may offer a refund or another remedy as appropriate.

Statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming goods remain unaffected.

13. Order Cancellation Before Shipment

If you wish to cancel an order before it has shipped, contact us as soon as possible.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate cancellation requests.

Once an order has entered the shipping process, it may no longer be possible to cancel it and the standard return procedure may apply.

This provision does not limit statutory cancellation rights.

14. Statutory Cancellation Rights for Online Purchases

Ontario's Consumer Protection Act contains specific rules for qualifying internet agreements.

Among other requirements, Ontario law requires prescribed information to be disclosed before certain internet agreements are entered into, provides for an opportunity to accept or decline the agreement and correct errors, and requires a copy of the agreement to be provided to the consumer.

Where applicable statutory requirements are not met, consumers may have cancellation rights beyond this voluntary 30-day return policy.

15. No Waiver of Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Return & Refund Policy is intended to waive, restrict or exclude any consumer protection right, statutory warranty, implied warranty or remedy that cannot legally be waived, restricted or excluded.

If any provision of this policy conflicts with applicable law, the applicable law will prevail.
